Tropical Maternity Photo Session on the Big Island of Hawaii
I’ve been so lucky to have found a great group of local creatives here on the Big Island. Most of that is thanks to the Rising Tide Society, which has helped me connect and learn from fellow photographers all over the world. As the leader of the Kona Chapter – I was so excited to facilitate and grow the Kona creative community, make connections and support those in my own island community. In fact, being a part of this creative community is what led me to capture this Maternity Photo Session.
Ann was one of the very first photographers I met here on Kona. She is an extremely talented photographer herself, so talk about intimidating when she asked me to photograph her in the final weeks of her second pregnancy. Eeeeps! At that point, I had only photographed a handful of Hawaii Maternity Photo Sessions.
She picked the spot, the dress, the haku (floral crown) and I trusted her vision all the way for her Maternity Photo Session. And the results made me so happy! Her little girl has since arrived and I can’t wait to meet her.
