I have been meaning to share this STUNNING Big Island Surprise Proposal for weeks but – you know – life and a toddler got in the way. The weather for this proposal was absolutely perfect. The day after their engagement, the Big Island got a highly unusual solid week of cold and rain. Much needed after many months of dry weather, but still highly unusual. So these two absolutely lucked out with this timing! There was not a cloud in the sky.

Jamin is a friend of my husband and reached out to me a few months before his trip to Hawaii. A buddy of his had suggested he hire a photographer to capture the whole thing (SUCH a good idea!). Like many of the clients who reach out about planning a surprise proposal, he was very nervous. We totally understand that you probably haven’t done this before. Planning your Big Island Surprise Proposal

Your biggest question is probably around the logistics of getting a photographer there without spilling the secret. And we have a few different scenarios that you can choose from to keep it as secret as you’d like. There’s one option that involves your photographer very much hiding out on the beach (usually in plain sight, dressed like a visitor) but with a camera, at the ready watching for you to get down on your knee. Another option involves booking a photoshoot that your partner knows about but thinks is just a regular couples session. And when you’re ready, we’ll give you the cue and set the shot up perfectly so you can propose. We really do walk you through everything to make it as easy on you as possible.
