Senior Photo Session at Beach 69, Waikoloa

I don’t often get a chance to do high school senior photos. But that doesn’t mean I don’t truly love doing them. When I first began dabbling in photography, I actually started taking portraits for actors and seniors in NYC. The idea of taking photos of multiple people was truly terrifying, but one person I could handle! So for years I perfected that kind of photography. I worked on finding flattering angles, getting a range of emotions and showcasing personalities. It was tons of fun! And my subjects were all more than willing to allow me to learn and grow with them.

Years later my work has shifted to families and couples, with just a small handful of senior sessions each year. Every-time I get to do one of these, I’m instantly back in New York. A young college graduate myself, trying to find her way and I remember how far I’ve come and how much I’ve learned all these years later.

George was a spectacular subject! He truly knocked it out of the park. I know how hard and uncomfortable it can be to have your picture taken, especially by someone you’ve never met but he quickly relaxed and we were able to have a fantastic shoot!
