I’m used to having a lot of people around when I photograph on busy beaches. It comes with the territory. Honestly, I am so “in the zone” that I don’t even notice people watching me work. Plus I am laser focused on my clients making sure they know I’ve got their back and they are the only thing in the world I’m concerned about. But on this night? I kept getting stopped by beachgoers tapping me on the shoulder while I was shooting asking if I had seen the rainbow. And I’d politely say “oh yes, so beautiful” before getting back to my work of focusing on my clients.
It was only after the third random passerby stopped me while I was shooting to ask “did you see the rainbow??” did I finally turn around to look for myself. Scroll down to see the rainbow that made my jaw drop!
I don’t normally shoot the backside of this beach (aka, non ocean side) and I have seen little rainbows appear from time to time but this one was truly epic. All those kind beach strangers were right, this was a picture perfect scene just waiting to be photographed!
