This hidden Waikoloa shoreline is a magical place filled with lava flows hitting the ocean. If Matt and I ever come into a few million dollars, we’d definitely buy a house here! My dream would be to wake up every morning and go to sleep every night to the sound of the ocean waves!
The thing about this spot is that while the lava is gorgeous, it is not at all easy to walk on. And while you can walk on it with shoes – for pictures, there is something truly magical about being barefoot. This is why I normally will not photograph young kids here except by very special request and with me making sure mom and dad fully understand that it will be tough!
This family wanted this location with all their heart so we made it work! I even had them bring water shoes so we could safely hop in the little coves for some splashing shots. I’m so glad we made this location work!
