Not sure what to do with your hands during a session?
I get it – you’re not a professional model and there are parts of a photoshoot that can feel awkward.
I’ve bought so many posing guides and courses in my years as a photographer and none of them have been helpful. And truthfully, I’d rather get to know and work with the people right in front of me than try and memorize a bunch of random poses ya know??
So back to your hands. My answer to this question is almost always the same. I say, “Do me a favor. Take a deep breath, forget about the camera, pull him/her in close for a quiet moment, and hold each other.” And then I’ll ask for a kiss on the forehead for good measure!
