Hawaii Anniversary Photography – Waikoloa, HI

I can see the appeal of taking a mini vacation with my husband without the baby. Don’t get me wrong, we LOVE our baby girl. She is the light of our lives and makes us smile every day, all day. But parenting is hard. It’s a level of bone-deep exhaustion that I simply wasn’t prepared for. So a quick 48-hours to sit somewhere poolside with just my husband and an ice cold margarita to deal with? I’m here for it!

Christina and Kyle were the sweetest at this romantic couples session. And yes, even though they were enjoying this time together, they also would smile from ear to ear when telling me about their daughter and how much fun she was having with her grandparents. You could tell they were amazing parents. And I think its simply amazing to take some time to recharge your mind and body so you can dive back into parenting rested and ready for, well, anything!

Would you or have you even taken a kid-free vacay? If so, how old was your baby when you did? I’d love to know!

Are you planning a family vacation to the Big Island of Hawaii? Let me capture your family visit to Hawaii with a stunning sunrise or sunset photo session on one of the beautiful beaches in on the island. I’d love to capture memories you’ll cherish forever!
