What do all families have in common? They’re all made up of real people, real moments, and real stories. Before I ever hit the shutter button on my camera, I spend time getting to know each member of the family. I’m really trying to find out what this season of your life looks like. Authenticity matters because I want you to be able to recognize each person’s personality in the photo. I’m not the one you call for a traditional posed (ahm, stiff and awkward) portraits… and that’s the way I like it!
If we’ve ever worked together, you know that I like to spend the first 5 minutes (at least!) of our shoot just talking story, as we say in Hawaii. I want to know how you’re liking Hawaii. I want to know what made you pick Hawaii and what your favorite memory of this vacation has been so far. In short: you chose me and I am going to chose you back. I chose to invest my time in learning about you so I can capture you with authenticity!
This family right here? The picture of authentic joy. They fully trusted me and more importantly? They looked inward at each other and had so much fun just being together! That is what it’s all about folks. Truly, that is what matters most.
