Not having return clients was a huge concern for me as I was building my business and started to realize that 95% of my clients are visitors to Hawaii. I honestly wasn’t sure if this was a sustainable business model but thus far I have been BLOWN AWAY by the number of return clients I have been getting! This is why I believe a business where your #1 priority is serving your clients is so essential. Your focus shouldn’t be on IG followers, curating the perfect feed, having a picture perfect headshot or even winning alllll the competitions. Those things matter, sure, but they should never get in the way of a top notch client experience. The kind that keeps people coming back. Building relationships with my clients, even if we only ever meet once, helps me to serve them.
And speaking of return clients! I photographed the wedding of those two amazing people back in 2017 and was so freaking excited when they came back to the Island for their one year wedding anniversary this past winter. One, it was so fun to get to see them again! We met up early on the beach, watched the waves, caught up on life a bit and then got right into the very serious business of dancing and frolicking on the beach together. What better way to celebrate one year of marriage and a lifetime more to come?!
