We’re Published! Click Magazine Feature – Published Hawaii Family Photographer

Back in 2022, Click Magazine wanted to feature family photography. An editor asked me to share my tips on how I evoke joy and fun from my clients during their family photo sessions. I was so honored to be asked to share. And to be honest, being a Published Hawaii Family Photographer has been on my professional bucket list for years!

I have photographed over 700+ families in my career. Regarding family sessions, I have a solid understanding of what works, what doesn’t, and when to experiment with different approaches. I was thrilled to write this magazine feature. Now, I can add Published Hawaii Family Photographer to my list of accomplishments. It feels amazing! Wilde Sparrow’s work has won several awards in online photography competitions, but this is the first time I have been featured in a print publication. Although Click Magazine has transitioned to digital-only, I am still excited to have been included in one of their final print editions.

There is one thing that I’ve learned in my years photographing families and children – kids love movement and games. And just as importantly – parents LOVE seeing their kids have fun. If you want to create magical, joyful, and authentic photo sessions, you need to craft an environment where kids feel comfortable enough to have some fun. 

Strong poses are only half of the equation to creating beautiful family photos for your clients. Games, posing prompts, and even fun props are the key to crafting an effortless family posing session flow that will unlock genuine joy for your clients. And it doesn’t have to be complicated! 

So how do you inject fun and joy seamlessly into your family sessions? With prompts and games! These will allow you to turn a simple pose into a beautiful moment full of belly laughs and natural connections. And the best part? Doing this will instantly create a core memory for this family that they will never forget.

Simply put: when you create opportunities for children and their parents to have fun together, they will genuinely connect.
