Okay so if you know me, you know I don’t photograph weddings much anymore. I used to. I used to shoot a ton of weddings when I lived on the mainland. But then we moved to the Big Island and I fell HARD for family and couples sessions. The simplicity. The beauty. The care-freeness (that you definitely don’t get on a wedding day ), I loved all of it.
This wasn’t a wedding, but a redo of wedding photos that never got to be because of Covid. Covid took so much for everyone and my heart breaks for the couples who never got to have the wedding they dreamed of in 2020. I have very dear friends still navigating the world of cancellations and reschedules – its all a nightmare.
So when Alexis reached out about doing photos on the beach in their wedding attire they never got to wear because of Covid, I was SO in. SO SO in!
This group was a blast start to finish. I never stopped smiling and laughing. They were so carefree. So very happy to be in Hawaii together and celebrating their marriage. It was so freaking fun and I would do it again and again forever!
