Big Island Surprise Proposal + Engagement Portraits at the Beach
Hey party people – if you are planning an epic beachside proposal on the beach in Hawaii and need a bomb photographer to hide in the bushes and capture the whole scene – I AM YOUR GIRL!
That’s exactly how it went down here. I set up a beach blanket and “read” a book looking like any ol’ person on the beach while Robbie started his romantic walk along the shoreline with Melissa. I had coached him on body placement and where to be and everything went off without a hitch! For a brief second, I panicked that I wouldn’t get the right angle, but then this beautiful turtle swam right up to shore and I used it as my decoy! I pulled out my camera to “take a picture of the turtle” and Robbie used that as his cue to get down on one knee.
And duh – she said YES!
After the surprise photographer (me!) was revealed – we had an incredibly fun engagement session right there on the beach. Melissa couldn’t stop staring at her gorgeous ring and even with a few sprinkles, everything was perfect!
