Guess what travel duo finally got adjusted to the new timezone? That’s right, with just 2 days left, we got 12 hours of sleep last night which was amazing, but comes with a side of regret too. Oh well!
Despite the inadvertent hike we took last night, we ignored the intense pain in our knees and calves and opted to do the highly recommended hike across the island. At first, it was all paved roads and happy shop owners, but things got dicey pretty quickly. It was 5 hours of dirt roads and 100 foot vertical drops on our left. Matt called this hike “extra deathy” which made me laugh so hard we had to stop. (We had to stop mannnny more times, cause pain, but for the most part the beauty of the island made it worth it.)
There were more adventures, but my feet and body are tired so I’ll let the pictures tell the story. For dinner we could find any turkey, but happily settled on fresh seafood and, you guessed it, lots of Greek wine. I hope you are all with family and people that you love, laughing and enjoying delicious food and hopefully lots of wine!
Good night, from Santorini!
