Surprise Proposal, Mauna Kea Beach Sunrise, Couples Photography – Big Island, Hawaii
If you’re hoping to book a summer session with me, the best time is 3-4 months in advance to get first pick of your dates! My calendar from May – August books up FAST and usually 100% before the end of April. But eeeeeevery now and then, I have a random opening to squeeze in a last minute shoot and that is exactly what happened with these two!
Within just two days we had this special session booked for sunrise. I knew he was going to propose but it was a secret and I absolutely couldn’t say no to capturing a beach side proposal! We got there while the moon was still up, which to me is just one of the truly magical things about a sunrise session. We had the whole beach to ourselves this morning and the proposal went off without a hitch (she said yes!). Getting engaged on the Big Island is so dang romantic, don’t you think?!
