I genuinely believe in capturing each season of your life, no matter how messy or chaotic, or entirely un-photogenic that season may feel to you. A thing that I focus on and that I train my team to focus on is the importance of striving to show each client how beautiful they truly are. Your family may seem crazy and wild to you, but it is breathtaking to me. The more “crazy” energy I work with, the better the result! Combining a babymoon and family pictures
Even if this isn’t your first baby, you may still be planning a babymoon. First, we LOVE that for you. You deserve breaks and a chance to focus on your family as it is before a new baby arrives. When it comes to a photo session, how we approach it is up to you. We typically love to save at least 10-15 minutes of the session for maternity photos focused on the pregnant person. And the remaining time we’ll use to get family photos, and we can feature or not feature the bump as much as you want. Because of this, we recommend our Golden package to ensure there’s enough time for both family and maternity photos.
Timing for a Babymoon
When is the best time to schedule a Hawaii babymoon? My personal opinion is the second trimester, between weeks 20 and 30. You’ll feel more comfortable traveling and (hopefully!) will be in that golden pregnancy phase with no morning sickness, a surge of energy, and a bump starting to show. Note: consult with your healthcare provider before planning travel during pregnancy!
