Stress-Free Hawaii Photo Sessions with Kids
Parents often worry about meltdowns during photo sessions, but a few simple tricks keep kids engaged. A really good photographer won’t even be phased by a Hawaii photo session with kids. We’re all about families, couples, and babymoons – so we’ve seen it all and we love it. My personal trick is to keep the session moving quickly and flowing naturally so there isn’t even a moment of space for a meltdown to start!
Here are some of my favorite tips for Hawaii photo session with kids:
- Pack their favorite snack for quick energy boosts. (But please, leave the Doritos at home!). Some good, mess-free snacks would be fruit gummies, raisins, or Tic-Tacs.
- Turn posing into a game! I like “race to the palm tree” or “who can hug dad the tightest?”
- Leave room for kids to explore; some of the best shots happen when they’re splashing in waves or chasing each other down the beach. Let those candid, fun moments unfold naturally.
Remember, candid moments often tell your family’s story better than stiff smiles. As a mom myself, I’ve mastered the art of working with wiggly little ones, so relax and trust the process!
