Puako Babymoon Photography Session – Big Island, Hawaii
Did you know that there is no such thing as a private beach in Hawaii? Yes I’m serious! All beaches in Hawaii are open to the public by law. This is one of my favorite things about life here. Any beachfront is open for exploration and memory making. As you might have guessed, the big sandy beaches with calm waves are more popular with visitors. If it is easy to swim and there are no sharp rocks around, you can bet it will be a busy beach!
So when couples request a private beach for their session, I let them know that I can never guarantee a completely private beach but there are a few secret spots I know about that might be just what you’re looking for. They are hard to find and not on the maps, and thats just how I like it!
This beach is a particular favorite because at sunset there are usually a few beautiful Hawaii green sea turtles lazily sleeping on the beach. And that’s just what we stumbled onto this gorgeous night! A little group of sea turtles came up on the beach and visited us during our session! While I can’t promise that any time, it’s always an honor to be graced with their lovely presence.
