We typically recommend sunrise for family photo sessions on Maui, but we also know that the early alarm doesn’t work for every family and that’s okay! We know a few spots that tend to be less crowded. Can we promise an empty beach? Not in Hawaii. In Hawaii, all beaches are public by law so there’s no such thing as a private beach. But our Maui Family Vacation Photographers are experienced enough to help you find the perfect beach location, sunset, or sunrise.

Outfit Tips for your Maui Family Vacation Photos

First, we agree that finding outfits for your photo session can be stressful! As you can see from the photos below, when in doubt – wear white! Don’t overthink it! We highly encourage you to keep it simple with neutrals and soft colors. But if that doesn’t feel right for you and your family, wear what makes you most happy and comfortable. Because more important than what you’re wearing is coming into your session with a good attitude.
