What’s better than celebrating your love than a sunset photo session on the Big Island.
Speaking of the Big Island – I often get clients who are staying in Kailua-Kona and wonder if I work in that area. Here’s the breakdown – the majority of my sessions happen in the Waikoloa area of the island. This is about a 45-minute drive from downtown Kona, 30 minutes from the Kona airport. It’s not that I don’t love Kona! I truly do – Target is there so umm yeah, we are there regularly
The thing with Kona that most don’t know though, is there aren’t a ton of beaches. At least not “beaches” in the way you are used to thinking about them. The Big Island is a very young island so our beaches are often made up of lava rocks and rough rock. There literally hasn’t been enough time for our sand to soften. In Waikoloa though, there are several big, beautiful beaches. An option that doesn’t really exist in Kona. So if you’re up for the short (gorgeous!) drive, a few spectacular beaches like this one await you. I promise it’s worth it. Plus you get to explore a different part of the island!
Here are a few favorites from a sweet Golden sunset session in Waikoloa at one of my most favorite beaches EVER. Thank you for choosing Wilde Sparrow Photography as your photographers on the Big Island!
