Visitors for the most part have been so respectful, which I was honestly worried about. It’s been a tough transition for those of us who call Hawaii home, but most of us understand how important visitors are to our economy.
If you’re coming to visit, the most important thing you need to know is just to be courteous and reverent to the history and power of this place and the people who live here. All we ask is you remember that this isn’t just a vacation playground, this is our home. We want to make sure the magic of the islands is around for centuries to come!
