Waikoloa Fields – Lush Green Big Island Family Photoshoot
There is nothing like getting to try out a new location!
This gorgeous corner of the Big Island is actually a place I’ve driven past a million times and I always think “man, I’d LOVE to do a photoshoot there”. And finally had the chance with this fun and adventurous family that I had worked with before a few years back. This time they wanted to swap the beach for something completely different and I jumped at the chance.
This might not be the look of Hawaii that you’re used to seeing. That’s part of the magic of the Big Island, in particular, it is unique in its beauty and doesn’t conform to the palm trees and white sandy beaches you’ve seen in movies about Hawaii. The Big Island is just as much lava fields, grassy plains, and snow-capped mountains as it is warm , sunny beaches. You have to be here to understand the magic.
If you’re looking for something non-beach for your family photos, this spot is the FIRST place I’ll suggest. It is simply incredible and not to mention, completely empty! Only known to locals, you’ll hardly ever see another soul here. So throw on some sneaks, grab a picnic blanket and let’s go on an adventure okay??
