Big Island Wedding Photographers – Sunset Beach Elopement in Hawaii
Moving away from HUGE 100+ people weddings has been the greatest business decision I’ve made. Not because I don’t love weddings. I love love love the magic of a wedding day. But the stress of managing that many people was not where I truly thrived.
Small, intimate weddings like this, on the other hand, really suit me. I’m able to fully serve a small group of the couples closest friends and family while also serving the couple. Wedding days are a delicate dance. There are timelines but there are also natural hiccups and unforeseeable delays. With these kinds of smaller weddings, I’ve been able to go with the flow, read the room and focus on what truly matters. Love.
Ami and Masa reached out to me a few months before their planned wedding day. I was able to help them find the perfect location that checked ALL their boxes. When we met up for breakfast a few days before their wedding, we talked and laughed like old friends. We chatted about their wedding day vision and were even able to visit a this particular beach site together to go over the plan so everyone was on the same page.
Masa more than anything wanted gorgeous blue skies in the photos, and Ami wanted a stunning sunset. Things I obviously can never guarantee but I crossed all my fingers and toes for them hoping it would happen. And well… just scroll to see.
