This session was one of my favorites from this past summer. After all the planning – outfits, location selection, preparing the kids – it is such a massive sigh of relief to know that everything came out quite literally – picture perfect. As Big Island photographers – we’ve seen it all.
To the moms who don’t feel photo-worthy. To the ones worried about how their kids will behave. Concerned that their partners will hate it. Worried about weather and outfits…What if it all goes right?

Now when I say professional, I don’t just mean we have professional gear, years of training and knowledge of camera equipment, and an understanding of the elements of Hawaii beaches. I also suggest that we know how to work with tricky situations. Whether that be a toddler who wants to be anywhere but at this long-awaited photo session, an uncooperative partner (though this one always makes us sad!), unexpected turns in the weather, busy beaches – and a dozen other things that can pop up. We’ve seen everything and understand the value of having a plan but being prepared to go with the flow.
And if there is one piece of advice I could give you, someone searching for the perfect Big Island photographers to work with is the value of being just as flexible. We know how much time, money, and energy our clients put into these photo sessions, and we don’t take it for granted.
