Are you looking to capture your trip to Hawaii? We hope you are! Vacation photography isn’t new, but it is gaining in popularity, and we love to see that. My business has always been focused on beach photography, and in 2019, we expanded to include a team of Maui and Big Island Beach Photographers. Golden sunsets and warm sunrises are our areas of expertise. Our goal is always to capture the love and joy of our clients but also the unbelievable scenery of Hawaii. We understand how important it is to capture the beauty of this place in your memories.
A Team of Big Island Beach Photographers
Back in 2019, when I first found out I was pregnant with my daughter, I looked for ways to scale my business and still provide our signature photo session experience while also taking maternity leave. As a small business owner, I don’t have the luxury of paid maternity leave since I pay myself! It has been a blessing to watch my business grow from a one-woman show to a team of over four amazing photographers spread across the Big Island and Maui. My team of Maui and Big Island Beach Photographers are truly incredible. Each of them are amazing photographers on their own. Combine that with training from me and I have truly seen them thrive and grow!
The Best Locations for Hawaii Beach Photos
When curating our list of Hawaii photo session locations, we look for a few things. Most importantly, we are limited to locations where we can get permits for commercial photography. See, while all beaches in Hawaii are public by law – not all are available for commercial work. That is, if money is being exchanged, there are limitations. These rules are in place to keep beaches from being overcrowded with big movie productions, rows of rental businesses, and photo shoots. So we first look at where we are allowed to be.
Second – we look for beaches that aren’t too crowded and offer an unbelievable view of the sunset. We also consider accessibility as many of our clients have strollers, little feet or older family members joining for sessions, and we want to be mindful of ease of access. We have a few more adventurous beaches on our list, especially for our Big Island clients who often seek out the iconic lava rock locations, but we advise that these are *not* ideal for anyone with trouble walking.
