There’s something magical about the ocean. Anyone who has had a chance to put their toes in the sand knows what I’m talking about. And in Hawaii, the very first thing most clients say to me is, “wow, the water is so warm!“. In Hawaii, our water is warm and swimmable all year long! (Well, “swimmable” comes with a big asterisk. Ocean safety is a major consideration, and we won’t advise you to get into the water (for photos or otherwise) unless it’s safe.) But as beach family photographers – we LOVE getting to call the beach our office and equally love the chance to show them off to visitors.

Back in 2019, when I first found out I was pregnant with my daughter, I looked for ways to scale my business. I wanted to be able to continue to provide my signature photo session experience while also taking maternity leave. As a small business owner, I don’t have the luxury of paid maternity leave since I pay myself! It has been a blessing to watch my business grow from a one-woman show to a team of over four amazing photographers spread across the Big Island and Maui. My team of Oahu, Maui and Big Island beach family photographers are truly incredible. Each of them are amazing photographers on their own. Combine that with training from me, and I have truly seen them thrive and grow!
