WHAT DOES BEING A team photographer LOOK LIKE?
• We take care of the business side of things.
• We manage lead inquiries, client communication, questionnaires, invoices, billing, contracts, …etc.
• We purchase permits for every session.
• We cull, edit, and deliver every session.
• We pay you a flat rate based on the session length that a client has booked.
• We will build off of your current photography knowledge and train you in the signature WSP style.
• You get to work with and learn from Lead photographer and owner, Aislinn at Wilde Sparrow® Photography.

YES! You'll be hired as a contractor, not an employee of Wilde Sparrow Photography and paid via 1099. We encourage you to continue working in your own business and want to see each associate thrive! You are not allowed to promote your own business while working with clients of Wilde Sparrow. We also ask that you disclose if you are associate shooting for another family photographer while under contract with Wilde Sparrow.
02. As a Wilde Sparrow® photog, can I still photograph my own sessions?
Two full-frame, professional-level DSLR or mirrorless camera bodies. The cameras must have a dual card slots. Mirrorless gear is strongly preferred. I'd also like for you to have at least a 35mm, 20mm, and 50mm lens (prime lenses preferred), but you should at least have focal lengths 24mm - 50mm covered with whatever gear you own.

You will be able to use images in your portfolio with written permission from Aislinn only after they have been delivered to the client and blogged by Wilde Sparrow® Photography and if the client has signed a model release. You may never use the Wilde Sparrow® edit of the photo, but you may edit them yourself to share in your own portfolio. You must use the following format when crediting the images at all times on all channels - photo by "your name" for Wilde Sparrow® Photography.
04. am i allowed to share the images I take for Wilde Sparrow Photography?
You will be personally trained by Aislinn. We do not just throw any photographer into the lead role at WSP sessions. Brand consistency and integrity are a cornerstone of the company. We will build off your current photography knowledge and train you WSP standard poses and session flow to get the images our clients expect from their sessions. Training sessions take place online and in-person on the Big Island. We have one team retreat each year for hands-on training.
05. what kind of training is involved?
Rates start at $150 for 20-25 minute sessions, depending on your experience and skill level. Your pay will increase as your experience grows. Starting pay is higher for more experienced photographers that need less training. We purchase and pay for all permits needed for your sessions.

If so, I’d love to hear from you! If selected, you may be required to photograph at least one (paid) test session for the Wilde Sparrow® brand, depending on your experience level. Self-paced, online video training is required by all active WSP team photographers before being assigned as a lead photographer.
You will not be required to edit any images but must back up all session images immediately to your own backup system and maintain a backup for raw files for at least 3 months. Delivery of ALL raw files from a session via online upload is required within 24 hours of the session date. Prompt communication via email or text is required.
Aislinn hosts one yearly retreat for the team that includes training and relaxation time. Attendance is not required but highly encouraged because they are tons of fun! Accommodations, airport transport, meals and in-person training are included. You are responsible for airfare.
