Sunset Beach Family Photography – Kona, HI
Would you believe me if I told you this was one of the windiest days I’d ever experienced on the Big Island?
Seriously, we had gusts up to 25mph! And when you’re on a sandy beach, that means grains of sand whipping against your body and hair in your face nonstop. This was a challenging session!
But even under those conditions, this family was just incredible. I love love love my return clients! The kids were champs and mom and dad went with the flow, even if that meant we had to stop many times to hide our faces (and my gear!) from the howling winds.
And the best part? Looking at the pictures, you can’t even tell how hard it was to work with all that wind? I like to think every session teaches me something new and I definitely learned some new tricks to work with the wind. Because in Hawaii, there’s always a chance of trade winds coming in off the ocean. And if you get a breezy night, know that we’ll work extra hard to work with the wind!
