Mauna Lani Family Vacation – Big Island Hawaii Photographer

Parents: don’t be upset when your littles meet a photographer and don’t take to them right away. Kids move at their own pace. They take to strangers in different ways. I’m never offended and whenever I have little ones who I can tell need more time to get used to me, I always go at their pace. I believe in family-led posing. I always say that it’s more important to give kids a break and let them go run around for a few minutes than force them to take one picture that will only make them hate me for the rest of our time together! They are in charge – we aren’t!

These beautiful girls each took to me in their own time. Big sister was loving, giggly and warmed right up to me. Little E needed more time, and we gave it to her. You can see that by the end she was alllll smiles. Enough mama smooches and that is bound to happen :)! Every child is different and honestly, that is what makes this job so fun!
